The Iron Works

For about 100 years from the 1750s the river south of Cramond produced small farm implements and nails that were shipped across Europe and to the Americas. There were 4 mills linked to this work from Cramond to Cramond Brig.

We provide guided walks along the River Almond during the summer months.
